The Grand Koolios are three of Western Canada’s premiere live performance and session musicians with collective biographies that read like a who’s who of the top blues, country and roots music worlds. Together they serve up some of the tastiest, funky sounds from here to, well, anywhere. Virtuosic and vital, clearly a formidable vanguard of veterans! Most recently winding up festival runs with Jim Byrnes, David Vest and John Lee Sanders (including opening for the fabulous Bonnie Raitt) their track records have encompassed icons like Taj Mahal, John Hammond even the Chess Records recording giant Lowell Fulson, Pinetop Perkins, Big Mama Thorton, Big Joe Duskin, Jay McShann, and the legendary Bo Diddley! These lads are no wall flowers, but entertainers in there own right delivering world class, top flight musicianship. Whether they are leading the charge or supporting the troops, they are in a word, UNDENIABLE!
